Date of birth- 20 May 1958, Benton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England.
Dual New Zealand/British citizenship. Resident in NZ since July 1958.

Qualifications - 1992: Ph.D. (Otago)
1987: B.A. (Hons) in History, First Class Honours (Waikato)
1981: Christchurch Teachers’ College Diploma (Sec. Division)

Awards/Grants - 2001: New Zealand Hymnbook Trust, $1,000 grant
2000: Creative New Zealand, $5,000 writer’s grant
1996: University of Canterbury Research Grant, $16,000.
1987-88: Ross Fellow, Knox College, University of Otago

Career - 1999- Writer and researcher, historian, poet and composer
1993-99: Lecturer in Religious Studies, Dept of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Canterbury.
1984: Journalist (Grade 3) Suburban Newspapers Ltd, Auckland
1982: Secondary School Teacher, Rangiora New Life School.

Love your poem At St Peter's Teddington. I'm researching social connections and have parents, grandparent, great grandparents, great great grandparents buried there.
What is your connection with St Peters. Do you have relatives buried in the peaceful graveyard?
